“And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52
These words were written about our Savior when he was twelve years old. What a testimony for a twelve year old to have! Our vision for Junior High is to develop an atmosphere where each student would increase in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man. This atmosphere is created through a Christ-centered focus on education.
It is through weekly Junior High Chapels, student led prayer time, Spiritual Emphasis Week, Bible classes, Service Projects and education from a Christian worldview that our students are encouraged to grow in love and obedience to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Critical thinking skills are developed as students seek to make their parents’ faith their very own. All questions are encouraged and thoughtfully discussed from a Biblical view, and there are questions– lots and lots of questions. We stick to the basics of the Christian faith as outlined in our Statement of Faith—and send students to parents, pastors and mentors for many of the particulars.
Through challenging academics we are preparing our Junior High for the rigors of High School and College. Whether it’s discussions about how we live out our walk in this secular world, or studying the formation of earth with our texts and Bibles side-by-side, each class is taught from a Christian worldview.
Extra curricular activities such as soccer, basketball, First Lego League Robotics, VEX Robotics, cheer or volleyball; along with physical education classes provide an outlet for the physical growth and well-being of our students.
NCA firmly believes that parents are the number one instructors of their children. There may be a bit of loosening of the reins by mom and dad, but it is not the time to let go. Not yet! Adolescents have a developmentally appropriate desire to leave behind some of the things of childhood, but they need parents more than they realize! NCA provides qualified teachers who partner with parents to help raise their children to love, honor and serve the Lord.
Considering NCA? Come, let us show you around. Tours are individually scheduled and prospective students are encouraged to spend a day visiting their future class. You are welcome!
Junior High Team Leader’s Welcome
Welcome to Nashua Christian Academy! For the teachers and students in Junior High, this is a place to learn and grow while discovering who God is, who we are, and how we can be used to serve Him and others. Our students are surrounded by people who love them, pray for them, challenge them academically and spiritually, and who disciple them to be followers of the One who IS love. Throughout the year, we study, worship and serve together while exploring how each student learns best, what their talents are and where they can be used to bless others. From personal experience, I cannot imagine a better educational setting for these wonderful adolescents.
Parents and guardians, deciding where your child will spend most of their waking hours requires thoughtful evaluation, and I highly encourage you to consider Nashua Christian Academy. Allow us the privilege of walking along side you as your child grows through their Junior High years and beyond. Come in for a visit and meet our wonderful students and staff so I can answer your questions!
